Our Women’s Beit Midrash is entering its 20th year. Twenty years is a generation; a time of reflection and renewal. Babies who were brought into the Beit Midrash with their mothers twenty years ago, are today young men and women. The Torah that speaks to them is not identical with the Torah that their mothers felt connected to.
A healthy Beit Midrash aims to nurture the love and commitment to Torah and confidently encourage the new generation to seek, innovate, and find its own voice within tradition. We have created a multi-generational community which speaks to the head and the heart; a place where people study and debate; commemorate and mourn, celebrate and sing. I thank all of you who make our Beit Midrash worthy of its name, a house of seeking. To a generation of supportive donors, thank you. See you in the Beit Midrash.
